Location/Directions
Approximately 120km North of Adelaide, nestled in the Skilly hills, just 2km’s from the township of Watervale in the middle of the beautiful Clare Valley.
Travelling from Adelaide turn left at St Vincent’s Rd in Watervale, you should see the blue sign “Hughes Park Cottage”. Follow the road out of the township up over the hill until you come to a T-junction (1.7km bitumen).
Turn right at the T junction (blue sign posted) onto Upper Skilly Road for 1.5km (dirt road) and veer left (blue sign posted) at the fork in the road (sheep yards on right).
Follow this road through concrete ford, past white gates on your right until you reach two stone cottages, “Sir Walter’s” is the first one the left and “Hughes Park Cottage” is the second one. (0.8km approx.)
